MARY APICK ON WOMEN'S RIGHTS

On Thursday May 4, 2006, we all gathered to welcome a star of our own, Ms. Mary Apick, who needs no introduction as she has been in movies as well as in plays since the early years of her life. What sets Mary apart is not only her great starring roles, but also her ability to make a star or two shine in the lives of abused and mal-treated women and children of the Middle East. She is a passionate and dedicated activist who spends time raising awareness over the issues close to her heart. This was an opportunity to meet Mary in person, to see clips from her films, and to hear her talk passionately about the ongoing abuse of women and children. May we some day be able to live in a world free of cruelty and abuse and may such mistreatments of innocent women and children be eradicated altogether through such tireless humanitarian efforts.
